Happy New Year!

What a way to see in the new year! With the great weather and clear skies in the forecast, chose to hike up to Hollyburn Peak here in West Vancouver last night. Pretty big moon so the natural light and abundant snow made for some special views. Thanks to the fellows who hiked up with 2 bundles of wood and made the fire up top. In my opinion the perfect new years eve party ;-)

Re photo: I don't have a tripod so laid on my belly, rested the camera on my pack and tried to stay still while holding the shutter for 15 sec. Best I could do, but think this image well captures the magic scene and serenity of the night.
