Born in Edmonton, raised in Calgary, then off to Vancouver Island to study at the University of Victoria (BSc. Biochemistry). A life long athlete with a strong inclination towards outdoor endurance sports, especially those that take place in the forests and mountains. I enjoyed a long career competing all over the world as a professional cyclist (road and mountain bike). A four time Olympic cyclist, Olympic Silver medallist, three time world champion, and recent inductee into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame. Likes hikes in the mountains with "Little Miss Daisy", good food and wine with friends, and figuring out how to use my camera better while trying to keep up with friends on foot, bikes, paddleboard, or skis.
